Palazzo Zanini

Hvar Island

The Zanini palace is one of the oldest and stylistically layered homes in the old part of the town of Hvar (Grodi). It was built where there were previously a number of smaller houses, some of which date back to the 13th and 14th centuries.

During the 15th and 16th centuries, these houses were built upon and decorated in Gothic and Renaissance styles, and in the early 18th c. the houses were connected and shaped into a single architectural complex and further enriched with a baroque style. Now been thoroughly restored to become one of the most elegant properties within the city walls of town of Hvar.
